3 things to make a car run
1 spark at the correct time
2 fuel
3 air
Assuming you dont have a birds nest blocking the air induction I'd guess its 1 or 2.
That will be $500. I accept Paypal. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

As ozzie said:
Spark, Fuel, Air.
You've got power to the battery. You need to make sure your plugs are sparking. You also need to check and make sure you are getting fuel. It's a 924 so the fuel pump should be turning on, make sure you can even hear it come on.
Could be a multitude of things if it sat for 9 years. Start with the basics. Make sure injectors are getting fuel, make sure sparkplugs are getting spark... etc. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

RECOMMENDED READING
Although that thread is specific to a turbo car, you can just ignore the turbo-specific information. The same basic premise applies.
Required tools:
Multi-meter
Spark tester
Haynes manual
CIS pressure tester (available from JC Whitney for $60)
4" of 16 gauge wire and two spade terminals to make a fuel pump relay jumper
The usual assortment of screw drivers, metric wrenches, and a 3mm allen wrench
This isn't a comprehensive diagnostic approach (you'll find that in Haynes), but this is the basic approach I would take to rule out one variable at a time.
Validate spark first. Get a spark tester and put it inline between the coil and dizzy, make sure you get spark to the dizzy. Then check each spark plug individually to make sure you have it at all four. If that checks out, move on to fuel. Consider replacing the distributor cap, rotor, coil, plugs, and plug wires.
For fuel, start at the back of the system. Make sure you have 12v at the fuel pump. Make sure the pump is running. Then move forward into the engine bay. Replace the fuel filter. Verify that you have fuel getting to the fuel distributor. Verify that you have fuel flowing to and thru each of the injectors. Check injector spray pattern. Run a complete CIS system test using the aforementioned pressure tester.
Report back with results and ask questions here _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Thats some vid. its kind of dark dont you think.
to see if your getting fuel pull an injector & line out of the head out
they just pull out with a pair of channel locks gripping the injevtor base tightly, then place it in a bucket and take the boot off the big round thing ( that house the sensor plate now with the key on and the fuel pump running pull up on the sensor plate at this time the injector should squirt out fuel. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

Also make sure that you've got all the timing right. I had trouble with my car not starting when I first got it...turned out I had the spark plug wires out of order on the Dizzy _________________ 1978 924 NA
