| 924s have a sentimental value rather than a net worth value, its unfortunate that someone would steal one. I'm sorry to hear it. |

And if it doesn't come back in one piece, I hope your insurance company treats you well. _________________ '84 944 - kid blew motor

Sorry to hear as well. Hopefully it was just a wuick joy ride and it will turn up. Its not like a Honda Civic that is easy to part out for some quick cash, I'm sure it will turn up. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

9.5/10 times when a 924 or 944 gets stolen it is simply a young kid looking for a joyride.
It will probably be found in a unrepairable state _________________ 3 928s, |

Hopefully you get it back! If you do, build an electrified cage to store it in. _________________ 1979 Porsche 924- Snailshell

Have you had any luck getting it back mate? Might be worth sending the pic and info to any independant porsche places in the region, they'll be more likely to spot it if it's out on the roads. _________________ Mars Red '78 Euro 924 n/a

i have finally got swomewhere with the insurance company they have now told me about the damage and the money side of things.
The offside door lock is damaged
the door is punctured under the handle
the steering coloum has wires coming through (so i assume the barrel and lock need replacing)
They have offered me the option to take the cheque and walk away or take the money and pay £150 for my car back (just the salvage fee)
if i take it back they said i will need to:
Re MOT it before it will be insured
and
Go through a VIC check with the DVLA
both costing no more than £100 so should have enough left over for the repairs.
Has anyone been through a VIC check? what happens or do i need to do?
Does anyone have the parts needed to repair? lock set, door in blue? see attached image for colour. steering coloum parts? all pm's with prices would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Ben
