A few resolutions...

1. Raise my GPA in school
2. Stop buying/selling cars

...on number 2, it really is turning into an addiction...I'm only 22 and I'm on my 6th car...and I might buy a 7th in a week or two...which means I'll have to sell the 931 Going to look at the car tomorrow, hope it's as good as it looks/sounds.

Car: Get a decent custom extractor/header and exhaust setup. Stiffen suspension.

Get started on ripping apart and rebuilding my Celica.

Life: Save a deposit for our fist place.

0. install the heavier 944 "three blue spots" springs.
1. replace the exhaust manifold gasket.
2. Install the K27 turbo with the launch control necesary gear.
3. buy and install a blow off as the K27 has no internal one.
4. Install VEMS.

Life stuff, in priority order:
  1. Show my wife how much I love her every minute, every day
  2. Show my kids how much I love them every minute, every day
  3. Figure out how to get my son enough financial aid to go to his college of choice
  4. Pay off one last loan, and start saving for major addition to the house
Car stuff, in priority order:
  1. Finish the UWB in time to drive it to the 2009 Porsche Parade in Keystone CO. (Yeah, I know, it's a long shot, but hey, it's a goal!)
  2. Finish work on the 941 as a backup car to take to the 2009 Porsche Parage in Keystone CO in case I don't finish #1 (bump out crash damage and respray; install boost gauge and oil temp gauge/sender; complete wiring for electric 944 sport seats; install LSD-equipped snailshell)
  3. Source main bearings for the 2.0L 64mm crank
  4. Replace clutch slave cylinder and power steering pump on the 924S
  5. Install new clutch cable and steering shaft on the '81 NA
  6. Finish the power steering prototype for early 924 platform
  7. Keep the SH4RK, GEIST, SONIC06 and 941 all road-worthy
  8. Be stingy with the car budget...funnel as much of it as possible into the UWB

1.) Avoid conceiving another child
2.) Find a better insurance provider for the 924
3.) Register and resurrect the 8k mile 924
4.) Tie loose ends on 84k 924 project
5.) Maintain the 84k 924 so makes it through the daily driving (summer) season - maybe sell in 2010
6.) Get back into shape - drop 10 lbs and play in more beach vball tourneys

Oh, almost forgot:
7.) have a freakin blast in Ireland when I take my first formal vacation in 10+ years this coming March.

Snip snip! Easy peasy

I strongly recommend Hagerty Collector Car Insurance.

Snip Snip - OUCH.

I just did the Hagerty online quote (understand its not final word) and it requires the minimum value of the car to be $3,500. I'm fine with that as I think mine is, but how is that determined or otherwise verified (if you know)?

Oh, and yes I realize there is a 800 number on the bottom of their website, but I figured I'd ask here since I'm not gonna have to go through the rig-a-ri-moe to get a simple answer.

You declare the value, and then you send in a minimum of two photos, one from opposite corners of the car to verify its condition. That's it. FYI, I pay less than $900 annually to insure 4 cars with no deductible, full coverage, full fire, full theft, full collision + road service.

Is the quote at the top of the page the annual or semi-annual premium - I looked around and found nothing?

Sounds like a good deal.
