The idea of ADDING weight might sound insane, but I would say for anyone racing and adding ballast is allowed. It worked great for me.

The hub sleve that I had machined saved me big time and have not had an issue in that area since I installed that part.

The other big difference that I noted this year was the cooling by opening up the nose panel and making sure all the air was forced through the stock rad. Even with 28 degrees of advance, stock rad, stock fan, water for coolant it ran cool , running 3500-6500 corner to corner for 8 mins per race and no higher than half way on the gauge.

The sad part of this years racing is that the economy here is killing the local track. The 4 mod class that my car was running in has collasped forcing me to either run back down in the stock 4 class where my car was TOO easy to win with or race with 250 hp 6 cyl. cars in the 6 cly modified class. The track only has 25 cars running on a good day and the lime green porsche runs as the 5th fastest car on the best day so I am proud of the car and am sure I could squeeze a win out of it over the 6 sportsman cars if I cheated it up to the extreme...but thats hardly a sweet victory. The last race day one of the 4 cyl (#6)guys yelled to me "why don't you paint your car orange...it's just a pylon!" This coming from the guy that wins EVERY 4 cyl race because he is cheating with a header, cold air intake and a strut brace.

I have posted a video of a race where I was running with a mix bag of cars. This is F@!ked up. Just as I was going on the track the driver of the #6 car tells me that they are going to LET the #66 car win because he has never won before. I normally don't race with these guys because they are kind of grumpy ....why I race and don't mind loosing to the 6's.

So we go out and I am doing just what feels like pace laps behind the #66 car. So when you watch the video you can see me hanging back in the pack until some of the other guys get bored and pass him and then it's on. At one point I am running 5th of 7. one car is a 6 cyl another is an 8..but they are both not well prepared cars.

You can see where I slowly take the lead...as I can just play with these guys that THINK they could race equally with me. Once I get in front I am playing with the #6 car to make him think he MIGHT have a chance to catch me...but I am driving in my mirror. Who's the pylon now??

Here's the video..and there are lots more on the guys youtube account. Feel free to comment on how well the "porsche" did. It will drive him nuts!!

Here's one from the 2nd race of the same day. One of the cars is a TRUE sportsman spc car with 350+ hp. I think I am doing ok! What do you guys Think? BTW some of the 6 mod class must be pushing serious hp to keep up...and lead don't you think?
