what a POS....that body would last 1 week here...or on a track. The chassis bends and torques etc etc... _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

I looked at the 5 pics and really cannot tell why it would flex or fall apart. Looks okay to me although some parts are missing. The headlights could use some help.
For 300 US I would buy it. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"

Actually, there's some pretty nice custom body work done on that thing...look at how the CGT flares are blended, as well as the front valence & fenders. Ironic that it has Idaho plates, as similar things were done on my 941, also an Idaho car. Wonder if this is more of Ray Wolf's handiwork???
Anyway, if that thing is a 931 with the CGT, I'd be all over it if I were one of you North-Westerners. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

That is quite interesting. I wonder how you get into the auction, and whether you leave with a title. _________________ Toofah King Bad

I consider it a good buy at $500 -$1000 - right away I could use the five bolt package (for 4 bolt guys), the extra rear window and spoiler (keep or sell), the hood is desirable to use or sell, a working headlight setup, speedo cable, washer tank, wiper switch/arm, steering wheel, interior door switches and mirror switch, wiper motor, battery, potential seats, sunroof seal, sell the front body panels, use the rear seat and side panels...extra parts here and there.
Too bad it's in Portland. |

I kinda like it, I like how the bumper is blended into the nose. It definitly needs some different wheels...the set up it has...just doesn't fit at all. _________________ =====>Alex<=====

One of my club-members goes quite often, I'll hit him up for details. I know the auction is this Tuesday. _________________ Stefan

I think it would annoy me to have the fenders sticking out that far past the wheels *shrug*. Nice color tho.

Dude, that's what they made 944's for. They are great donors. _________________ Stefan

Morghen you're entitled to your opinions, certainly. I chose the title of the post as a joke thanks to the return of Timstar.
However those panels are likely manufactured panels and to be honest they look a ton better than the ones on my car (which are A.I.R panels that have been "seasoned" or used and abused)
Starting at $300 (the going rate of scrap steel right now for cars) it would be a killer deal for a starter project even at $800 to 1000. _________________ Stefan

Its tough to say for sure from the few pictures there, but the rear body work actually looks pretty good. I'd call this one a diamond in the rough
If i had time/money for a project, what I'd do is swap bigger/wider wheels and remove the front fenders and bumper and hood and replace them with stock 951 units. Maybe add a LR stage 5 header panel
At that point, i'd probably swap in a 951 powerplant (if its a 924S) _________________ '87 924 S - No sunroof and a few modifications |
