Anyone catch the article in last week's AutoWeek Magazine where the 924 was mentioned several times?

OK im pretty sure its 1980/81 1st the 924 is a turbo then the rims on the 928 look like the early ones however the 28 has a rear spoiler and a front one I think which only came on the 1980 S model and later the 911 also looks like it would fit with 1980/81 am I correct????

here is a like to the ad
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1ErFBq5hE8&eurl=http://www.iribbit.net/i/924org/nai_multimedia.cfm?load=http://www.youtube.com/v/q1ErFBq5hE8

Question is what year is the ad from?. The new 924.org informs us that only a true porsche enthusist will know.

The Autoweek editors/owners critized the 924 everytime they could. I stopped reading it due to this and even sent notes to the editor. They just laughed and claimed rightly or wrongly that the 924 was not a Porsche. I don't care if it is or isn't. Just don't bash the car because you do not like it or because it is German. Hey, it saved the company.

Is it perfect...no. This editor has a bias ?? and I don't think it has to do with the car as much as where it came from.

From what I can gather, both Autoweek and Motorweek are operated by the Big 3. Think of them more as in-house publications for Ford/GM/Chrysler. That is the only explanation for their constant praise of the garbage being produced in North America, even while consumers run away from Detroit crap.
