I am a farely recent owner of a 1982 and 1978 924 (parting out the 7 , and I would like to find out what local shops are the best for engine rebuilding and other 924 related services. in other words, what local shops have experience with the 924 engines and over all operation? |

| Hey cmm, I'm in WA but do my own work. What is it you need? there must be a lot of shops in Seattle. I need a drivers side door stop plate and pin. That's the casting that has two holes in it that mounts to the door frame between the hinges. It connects to the strap which prevents the door from openening to far. Just need the plate and the pin. Also the clip that holds the hood support rod to the hood so when you open it the rod doesn't fall down. You got? Can e-mail me rchawes@cablespeed.com |

I live in Bremerton, WA. The problem with any shop that works on Porsches is that they know how much they can get to work on Porsches. So I have tought myself everything I know. Which doesn't say much, because my 924 leaks like a sive, the electrics are mostly shorted out or corroded, and I have moss growing on anything organic inside of it. I work on it between deployments, so it is sitting.

| We have discussed a get together in the past, and state or national borders should not matter. Some guys from B.C. wanted to have a get together, I would like to feel welcome there too. |

I'm thinking of starting a watercooled club... Seems most of the regulars here are in the pacific NW. Anyone interested in joining? We could probably scam discounts from shops.
I am opening my own shop soon, and I'll be fabricating exhaust and intake stuff mainly, with plans for an ECU project... club members can get discounts
