I am 47. I bought my 924 five years ago. I bought it so that I could have an inexpensive, yet presentable car for business use. I am a sales person. This car works well for the purpose, and is a practical, fun car, as we all know. I think I am one of the older 924 owners on this board. What are your ages? It would be fun to know.

30, bougth it about a year ago, to have something to play with. Couldn't really play that much with it so far, but I know much more mechanics and other kind of repair people then before. And a little more about cars, what was ~0 before.

Looks like I am a little older at 55. I bought my first 924 in 1986 and still have it. I drove it daily for 13 years so it is getting a little rest right now. At present my daily driver is a 78 928. Can you tell I like old water pumpers? 8^)

Don't tell anybody but I'm 52 and don't look a day over 18. Whereas Lars is 12 and looks like 75.

I guess I'm one of the younger or maybe the youngest here. I'm 18 years old, a certified mechanic, I bought my first 924 when I was 16 and should have kept it. But I got caught up in $ signs and sold it for 2x what I paid for it. although when I was done with it, it ran like a beast. it'd light up the brand new performance tires in 3rd. although i guess that may not seem so impressive to some of you more 'tame' 924 owners, it sure was a blast to drive. Feel free to ask me any mechanical questions, I'm always willing to help.

Jamez,
I had an RD400 (2stroke) in the late 70's. I think it kicked my butt.

2 strokes kick ass. but Im pretty sure the 4 strokes are gonna dominate the GP series, now that they let them race... My RD is no where near stock... Its really damn fast... not that stock ones arent fast..

I'm 19, I bought my car when I was 14. It was either this car or a Jeep CJ6 and I had always liked the 944 series, but didn't even know the 924 existed until I saw my car, so I got it. Has been an awesome car to learn with (mechanics/manual tranny/car restoration). My daily driver however is a 2000 Honda which I HATE and will be getting rid of soon.

I am 24. Got my 924 in '00 to modify as much as possible (for self education purposes) just to see if I could do it. So far, I got it running (kind of) with the stock CIS, then got it running with Weber DCOE40 carbs, now I am working on installing a Haltech E6 EFI/DIS system and a Paxton SN93 supercharger.
