What is up with all these Honda's and shit. These stupid kids put fake type R stickers on and the stupid exhaust that sounds like weed wakers. They are soo fake. There is nothing performance about them. Then they get out of thier cars and think they are bad asses. We should take these ppunks on the roads and show them what performance is. Its not tinted windows, stickers, different color neon lights and loud 15" sub woffers. We should make a site thats all about making fun of RICE BOYS

it's not just the rice, it's the taurus SHO's, the neons, and the jettas.
VWs always have those tinted lights... |

I do have a K&N filter that came on my Stage 2 MAF Kit (www.huntleyracing.com) but I do not sport any of the products that are in my car by putting stickers all over my car. Even if I did at least I have the product. Its not like Im putting a 928GTS sticker on my car so it looks fast. If you look at my 924S it looks stock. Ya the throttle response cam was a poor investment. I was just experimenting. What you havent done any mods to your car??? And Please do not compare my car or me to any Rice boy

the cam is the first thing i do to a car. Even if the head doesn't flow as good as a 931, the cam on any car is the biggest improvement you can get for the money IMO. And tires, are very important for improving handling. You can upgrade the suspension all you want, but the tires are the fastest cheapest way to improving handling if you have 185 75s on there.
modifications are stupid to a street car IMO anyways, i mean what are you gonna gain, Michael Schumacher is gonna see you and compliment you on the road at a stop light? i don't think so. but it's fun to do it that's all. |

Lars
What is wrong with the SHO? I had three in the family. 1990, 1993 auto (Fathers) and 1994 5spd. I enjoyed it very much. I did not pimp mine out. I like the stock appearance. They are fast, safe (great in crash tests) fuel efficient (got 30 mpg on highway at 70 mph) and they can carry 4 of your friends if nessesary. They are not the fastest cars out there, but they will easy run the stangs of their day. Especially on the highway.

Eturbo, there is a difference you know, between an SHO, and a riced SHO.
I like hondas that look like hondas.
SHOs I'm not too fond of the looks, but I much prefer an SHO that actually has performance mods on it, or no mods at all.
Weed wacker mufflers and leaf blowers, and chrome fender addons, my god. |

and by the way the roll, and the steering response/feel in the taurus is horrible.
that's not an SHO, but the SHO is based on it. |

Lars true, exhaust (as long as not over done) and wheel upgrades on an SHO are ok. I do not like riced, or as I call it pimped out cars never mind SHOs.
You are partly correct. The SHO has good control in roll control and handles well. The things it is lacking are proper brakes and the car floats over what used to be called whoop-de-doos. You know what I mean? It is like this. Go over a section of road that rises and falls quickly and then another. The SHO does not come down onto its suspension and stop that motion well. Vers the 924 that drops and holds.... it does not bounce up and down.
The reason I like the SHO is basic. It is relatively fast, it is comfortable, it is safe, it gets good gas mileage and the 1992-1995 model looks nice in its stock appearance.
I suggest that anyone that has not driven one should go and give it a shot. They are a great all year... or at least fall winter spring vehicle that can save your 924 from harsh elements.

I agree with you guys on the honda stuff, but I will admit that I do have a rice burner as well. It is a 90 NA Dodge Stealth (3000GT) its V6 has 222 bhp its a 5 speed and it will blow my 931 off the road. Now the 931 might handle better but I dont know yet she isnt in shape for that yet and it will be a while before she is because I'm gonna do it right or at least make one hell of an attempt.

ya know what's sad? is that mixed in with the rice crowd are the people that care about only looks but aren't flaunting performance. i know a lot of people that have wicked nice systems, neons, etc...that looks very professional and they flaunt what they have. they don't go racing, but they go to car shows and show their systems b/c that's what they wanted their vehicle to be.
it's to bad that those guys get classified as the same guys that think adding a few stickers, an air filter, and exhaust adds 50 hp.
