Okay Guys, this is the scoop. The cylinder head on my car is bad, cracked oil gallies. Will a 924T or 931 head fit a 924 N/A engine? And will it work? Will my camshaft work on either of those heads? Let me know Gents because I am in the market for another cylinder head. Thanks!

The 931 head will not work because it has actual combustion chambers where as the NA head is flat. If you use the Turbo head you will loose compression. The cams will interchange, be sure to mark each follower as to it original position so it can go back to the same lobe on the cam.

Okay, scratch the 931 head idea. See the parts wanted discussion board, I'm shopping!

Forgot to mention; gate a late model head as a replacement. Try to get 1980 1/2 or newer. Your new head should have round exhaust ports. Bring it to an automotive machine shop to make sure it is flat. Late model heads have bigger valves for more power.

Actually, the 931 head will fit, if you change the pistons. Actually, it's preferable, flows much better, it's just a PITA since you must change the pistons. It's covered in the Tech Section.

I knew I'd worked it out a while back. Take a look at http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?topic=1880&forum=4
May the search be with you
