I just got an email from my sister in Hershey and she said that the Hershey Hill Climb will be on April 20th, the day after the swap meet. This was a REALLY big deal back in the 50's and 60's, and this is the first year that they have brought it back. According to the Central PA Porsche Club website, http://www.pca.org/zone2/keystone/calendar.htm it is billed as a vintage PORSCHE hillclimb. We may have to check with them and see if a 924 qualifies. If it does, we may see a mad rush of 911 owners buying up 924's to race in the hill climb, since they may view the 924 as "expendable". A friend of mine used to go back in the early 60's (he had a 356) and he said it's great and very intense. Also, let's plan a meeting place and time for those of us who are attending the swap meet

Maybe I'm missing something. Around here, hill climbs are something dorks with 4X4's or quadracers do. Not passenger cars. Sounds like a goofy time to be had by all.

Dan: Hill climbs are awesome, fun and you don't need a 4 x 4 to do it...they are typically street cars, curvey twisty roads and high speeds.

WHOOPS! Sorry, I should have looked at the Calender! The Hill Climb, April 20th is the SAME day as the swap meet. The race runs up a dirt road behind the Hershey Hotel.

Don't let them trash them at the end!!!
And who knows if they are surprised enough by the handling maybe we will have some new members soon!
