WOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I decided to ignore my ghost power switch problem for now, and hooked MSII's main and FP relays straight to the battery, through a manual switch. Took me some messing around, but I got it to properly idle for the first time in almost two years Despite being in a ROUGH state of tune and assembly, it actually runs better than when I just got it. At least I have Cyl #2 firing now.

This is a 1982 931, V3 MSII + EDIS. Stock wiring is still in place, but at the moment only the oil pressure sensor and brake fluid warning light is connected. I used Todd's (endwrench) fuel rail, which works great. Stock O2 sensor is not hooked up, but I have Innovative wideband in a box, I'm going to use that.

I don't have a real TPS on it yet, I'm waiting for my S2 intake manifold (931Tony, where art thou?) and round throttle body. But it runs just fine without it Just fine is a weird thing to say, it needs about 50 kpa to run at 1000rpm, so it obviously needs more fuel (I assume more, not less, cause I didn't see much smoke coming out).

Anyway, I still have to clean up the wiring, tighten the exhaust, swap manifolds, fix the Curcuit 15 glitch, put the seats back in, tune the idle, etc etc etc... But it WORKS!

If I had to do it again, I'd probably be done in less than a week, especially if I had a decently running car to begin with There's really not that much to it, it's just that experimentation is a big, expensive pain in the arse.

UPDATE

I still have some of my electrical gremlins, but I did get rid of some other ones, and my overall wire count (and weight) dropped pretty significantly. All in all, by the feel of it I have ~10lbs of just wires leaving the car

There should be an organization that hunts down and tortures previous owners. They'd make some pretty good money. PLEASE put antiseize on your O2 sensor... The wise domestic guys were right, heat can get anything out. Took me a half-hour of torching to do it, though.

So, I have all my sensors connected now. I also switched to an S2 manifold, and changed to "4 squirts alternating" - this really made a difference, now I can idle with throttle closed, just like a real car Didn't drive it around yet, but at least it was capable enough to make it out of the garage on its own (and felt like a perfectly normal car, too).

Soo... I still need my charge pipe bolted down, there are some wires hanging in the driver's side footwell, but it looks like it's gonna make it to my new place without falling apart. Got tags for it, too
