Hey guys,
Finally going to have some time and some warm weather to go through the fuel system on my '81 924. It's been a cruel winter here in Chicago and not much of a spring yet, either.
All that said, I'm going to try and replace as much of the fuel system rubber hoses as possible and also my accumulator.

Found this accumulator on eEuroparts for $76.49:

http://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/53589/Fuel-Injection-Fuel-Accumulator-0438170001/?gclid=CMbQvfvvl8UCFYQAaQod_oEAtg

Bosch 0438170001

Anyone have any experience using one of these? I'm curious as to whether the fittings will match up. I have the single (what I believe is a 40cc accumulator in my 1981 US model).

If I have a look on the fittings it looks like there's a smaller and a bigger one. I guess on your current car both fittings have the same size.

I believe you are right, that mine has the two same size fittings. Thank you for pointing that out.

Well, it was worth a look. I will double check when I remove mine, but was hoping an Audi or VW part would work.

One last thought - could an adapter be fitted to one of the fittings on this Bosch unit to work with the 924 hoses?

Good question, take also into consideration that the flowrate of a smaller fitting will be lower, and if that will cause problems when hitting the pedal

On the otherside, it would really save money, because a new one for th 924 is really expensive...

I recently bought the 40cc 924 accumulator. Its not extremely expensive at 127 usd. Although not that fun part to put your money into
