I can say I learned alot from the experience..The 1st two from the left are done the other 2 still need work.

Joe, I don't know if you have heard of this yet, but you might want to think about what they're talking about in this article:

The top of the ports may have been there for anti-reversionary purposes. I've also heard someone here talk about it a few months back. Basically, the top of the exhaust manifold is higher than the port. When an exhaust pulse comes back to the head, it follows the outside radius of the transition from manifold-to-port. It hits the ridge and is slowed, thereby preventing exhaust gases from entering the cylinder and allowing more intake gases to fill cylinder.
At this stage, you can just open up the top of the manifold a little more to make a ridge where they meet. I suppose you don't have to, but who knows...maybe it will work better without that ridge! Anyhow, keep up the good work in sending us photos and updates so the less adventurous of us will eventually be able to do this. |

Well its done just have to polish the exhaust chambers and clean up a bit on the intake..Theres pics on the post head &header_________________
