When idling my 924S temp will reach almost the red. The fan will kick on and bring it back down to a very comfortable area of the guage. This keeps repeating as long as I run the car. I am more used to ones that hold a fairly constant temp, so this seemed a little odd to me.
Plus I apparently have a small coolant leak on the drivers side. It is so tight to try an get into there, that I cannot determine where it is coming from (i.e. hose at clamp, threads of switch, overflow return hose. Has anybody got some ideas ? |

if you replace the switch in the rad with a cooler one, the fans will come on earlier and prevent it from getting so high. _________________ 3 928s, |

Remove the airbox and fan assembly, then tighten the clamps and replace the cardboard gasket on the fan switch (and the switch itself, as mentioned above). If you are then still leaking, you have a crack in your tank.
The good news about that (as I just found out) is that EBS has nice aluminum core German rads for under $250. _________________ Toofah King Bad

I see on pelican parts website that you can get the Aux fan switch in either 72 degrees C or 92 degrees C, the thermostat comes in 82 degrees C. What is the best combination ? I am figuring on replacing them both since everthing is disconnected at this time and they haven't been touched in 10 years |
