Does anyone have any experience soliciting car sponsorship?
I've collected some sample letters and such from various online resources but wanted to ask if anyone might provide some additional advice or materials.
Thanks. _________________ 924.org (no time to complete)

At an amauteur level, it's hard. We've had some luck soliciting sponsorship or our series, working through friends, and friends of friends. Most of what you can hope for are discounts or help. You could rent your car to someone, or find a good mechanic, and let him autocross the car in return for some labor, if you need it. Sometimes, you can build relationships by doing the prototion 1st - i.e put a shop'd name on the car (with their permission), and them try and refer some people their way. In time, they may notice and appreciate the referrals. Sponsorshps are raely charity, they're earned through provinding some value to someone, or some company.
Or you could just run with us, and haev money on the table already .
Good luck! _________________ 944 SPEC racer
