Hmm, I contacted the local wheel/tyre place (Bob Jane), and was told that:

Quote:
there is nothing made aftermarket to suit the car

I find that a little hard to believe...

Would be interested in hearing what others have done, especially when keeping the 4-lug setup...

The four bolt cars have stuff. Isn't the bolt patter 4x100? There is plenty available for 4x100. If you go down the street to the local shop they wont carry anything for our cars. You'll have to source them from ebay or some bigger online store.

Flosho? Peter?

Has someone hacked into your computers? Is someone using your 924Board account?

The 4 bolt offset is 4x108 for the 924, not the more common 4x100.

I believe some models of Ford Mustang used to have the 4x108 pattern, not sure if that helps with searching the aftermarket in Australia. Of course, offset is another matter, spacers may be required.

Compmotive (spelling?) makes really cool wheels for the 924 in England. They are the standard wheels for the 924 Cup over there (Sponsered by Lodge Sports I think).

Hmm, I'm in Dublin next week and will be passing through London... can anyone say "excess baggage"?

Thanks,
Gavin.

4x108 = FORD = PEUGOT = AUDI(some) = 924

so...you can get some stuff.

Yes, I will get something - but it sure wont be from Bob Jane... the guy was both stupid, and rude... not a good combination.

Cheers,

Gotti makes/made wheels to fit the 924 as well as MSW (BBS Style) and a couple others.

Here's a cool set MSW's on flEbay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-924-15-Rim-Tire-set-of-4-4-Lug-Great-4-Racing_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ66481QQihZ012QQitemZ220101015515QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

The rears on these might be too much for a stock car though but would work really well on a CGT convert with 4 lug wheels. You could also reduce the wdth on the rear with different wheel halves. I've seen other BBS style wheels on there too. It's just a matter of being relentless in your search.

4x108 is close to 4x4.25" as used on Mustangs and other Fords over the years. As usual watch the width and offset before purchasing.

my freind has a 1993 saab 900, and our rims fit eachothers cars, so since my car is not runing at the im leting him ride around town with my rims on his saab, and i know he couldnt smoke the tires with that saab. besides i like the look of the 8 spoke rims, well at least when they have the fuch rim paint job.

I was of the understanding Ford Focus uses the same bolt pattern. There are a s**t load of styles to pick from but the off set may be wrong.
