'82 931 with 928 Wheels ('86 S4, IIRC)
Front: 7J x 16 ET 65 - Don't know if wheels work with stock strut springs. Not much room between inside tire and spring. This car has a coilover kit with smaller diameter springs and the fit is great.
Rear: 8J X 16 ET 52.3 - Mounted with stock 20mm spacer in place.
Wheels stripped and polished using methods found in this forum. _________________ '81/'81/'82 |

I've never been into chrome, but this actually looks good, the colors work well together |

To make your wheels to look like this is easy but time consuming. Read my "how to" article. I usually polish them a couple of times a year. What happens is they get a little dirty and the chrome polish revives the shine.

Hi All,
Hoping someone can tell me more about some rims. I have struggled to get information about them. They were on my 924 when I bought it and was told they were hard to come by.... no other information available.
Rims have written on them:

Looking at tire choices.. I think I like..
BFGOODRICH G-FORCE SPORT COMP-2
http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/tire-selector/name/g-force-sport-comp-2-tires
Quite affordable (relatively) and very impressive reviews.. $92 each on tirerack, same for both sizes..
In..
Front 205/50ZR16, suggested rim width 5.5" - 7.5", 8.4" wide on 6.5" wheel, overall diameter 24.1"..
Rear 225/50ZR16, suggested rim width 6" - 8", 9.2" wide on 7" wheel, overall diameter 24.9"
I assume that both would run a little narrower and taller on 16X6 wheels but they don't have exact numbers posted for 6es.
It now has cheap all season 205/55/16's that sit 8.25" max width X 24.75" tall (actual measurement)..
I read here that 225's fit in the back but some don't recommend them on 6" wheels..
BF Goodrich customer service says that the 225/50ZR16 are absolutely within spec for 16x6 wheels and that I wouldn't notice a difference from 6" to 7" wheels , maybe 2/10 sec per lap difference there they say..
But they could just be trying to sell me tires and I trust your opinions over their phone reps..
This is to fit OEM 16X6 (et53?) forged fuchs gullydeckels on my narrow body 931..
My DD with 205/55/16's is due for new summer shoes and I'm thinking the like new but cheap all season 205/55/16's on my 931 can go on that and switch to some nice sticky sporty summer tires on the Porsche.. 2 birds 1 stone, win win, Porsche gets upgrade, yada yada..
Is this what I'd want? What do you think? yay nay? suggestions?
I'd want to do this right the first time... _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

Personally i wouldn't run more than 205 on 6s, and preferably same size all around. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo
