Hey guys whats up, I just acquired a 1987 Porsche 924s really nice condition
about 67K miles, all repentance has been kept up with receipts, it just got the timing belt and water pump replaces a few thousand miles ago so it runs perfect. I have a few questions, fist of all my goal with this car is to be a fast, nice daily driver and weekend racer (SCCA autocross) First of all my old car was a 95 eagle talon with about all the suspension upgrades you could buy, I have been looking around online (Lindsey racing) and I see that there are a few options for Porsche suspension out there, but not nearly as much as there was for my talon, I am looking to buy full JIC coil overs ( I used Tien before) and a rear sway-bay as my car didn't come stock with one. Is there a way to obtain a polyurethane bushing kit for the suspension for the 924s"? if so where can I buy this? Also I feel the car has a lot of power it already has a intake (K&N cone) off the maf sensor, is there a hard pipe out there I can get to replace the rubber hose that comes off the Throttle body? It has a "chip" but I doubt that means anything, as from past exp theses do nothing and it also has a "throttle pulley" if this dose anything I don't know. I am looking as possibly getting a header and full exhaust, maybe not , im not afraid to spend a few hundred dollars for a few horses as my old talon was NA and squeezing power got pretty difficult So what are you guys running, what to I need to go fast? Thanks!!

One of the reasons (apart from age) that there are few suspension options for the 924 is that when restored with OEM parts they handle very very well.

Do a search of the board on "polyurethane" to get info and suppliers of bushings.

Generally the power tricks that work on Japanese engines like your Talon do nothing on a 924 or 924S. Spend your money on handling.

Well I didnt have the 4g63t turbo engine I had the american made 420a, so getting power out of it was a little difficult. I read somewhere these cares did like a 15.8 1/4 mile time, which is respectable, but what can I expect to get with nicer parts and tires?
