Threading for shift knob on shifter handle.

My 80 924 has a metal sheath over the shifter with threading at the end. This is different than my others, so I don't know if this was unusual or not.

Question is: Are there any 'standard' shiftknobs (momo, etc) that would fit on this threading. It seems a bit too big to me, but I'm not sure.
