If I hold steady while driving in the 1500-2800 range, my car surges bad. Like it has a horrible miss. It idles high but great at 1400-1600, and will accelerate through the RPM range smoothly. I was thinking my fuel accumulator may be bad. It turns over forever before it starts, regardless of temperature. I hate having to drive everywhere at 3500-4000 cruise speed. I know it is nearing time for a valve job. Possibly oil squeezing past and killing some cylinders at those speeds? Compression test is within limits, but at the lower limits. Any ideas? _________________ Shut up fool, those are mine. |
