so i knew i had a fuel pump problem on my 79, and i just went and replaced the external pump on it, figured it be easier, but it didnt work. so now im thinking its the in take pump, but the thing is, i dont know if i even have one, i know that it sould, but i see no wires going to the tank or anything. if anyone is experianced in this feild and could help me i would be very greatfull. or if you could just send me some pics of the fuel tank under the car?

thanks, colin

this was already explained...with photos...do a search.

Anyway...if you dont have wires going "into" the tank then you probably dont have an in-tank pump...
1. you have a 924 that came with only one pump.
2. somebody removed it.

The in-tank pump is located on the bottom of the tank(duh) and it has two wiring ports, one for +12V one for 0V earth. if you find these ports...you probably have a pump and its not wired.

The intank pump was not added to U.S. Market 924 NAs until the 1980 model year when the 931 was introduced. As the 931 was introduced in Europe in 79, I have no idea of whether Euro 79 Market 924 NAs have the intank fuel pump.

If you have a U.S. Market 79 924, you should not have an intank fuel pump.

I ave one and its a us market 79.
there should be 2 wires right about where the
fuel lines hooks to the tank.
