Hey Guys,
I've started posting photos of the Carrera GT and 931 on my MSN web community. Click on my profile and then click on the community address. I have 6 pics posted now. I'll post a few a week. Some are from old books and magazines, some from the net.

I bought a stack of old Autosport mags (the English mag) and found quite a few Le Mans and racing Carrera GT pics. There's some pretty cool stuff there.

Any advice for the best way to scan pics from magazines? Every time I try this, the dot-matrix printing looks terrible scanned. Any suggestions?

try lowering the quality, less pixels per inch,it might blurr the details so you dont see the dots

You are correct. It's a '73 914 1.7L FI. All original. Pretty nice cond with just a bit of rust. It runs great but I don't drive it much anymore. It handles great but it feel really slow compared to the 931 and 951.

You like 914's too?

I'll bet there's lots of guys here who have a soft spot for 914s, I'm one. 10 - 15 years ago they were held in the same high regard as our 924s and look what you pay for a good 914/6 now

I'll bet that in 15 years nobody will touch a boxster because someone will decide that they're not real Porsches.

The more it changes the more it stays the same

914's are cool I have been keeping my eye on one in the back yard of this old lady in town. I spoke to here once about a week before I got my 931 off ebay she said it was her son's car and he is in the air force. The car has been sitting there ever since I can remember and so has an old shitty chevey. My guess is shes crazy and her son is dead.
