I seem to remember that the bolts on my '80 head were triple-square (12 point allen). It took a 12mm triple-square to get them off.
Is that what you were asking or did you want to know the diameter of the sheath of the bolt? |

if we're about the 10 "in-hex" allen bolts that hold the head down, the last lot I took off came out with a 10mm allen socket.
The outer diameter of the bolt head is probably about 13mm but the key that goes in has a 10 stamped on it. |

bought a big set of allen wrenches only to find that the bolt pattern was of the star type ..
