|
|
Hey guys,
A quick question for the guys balancing my engine right now -
My crankshaft has a "line" mark on it between the flywheel bolt holes. The flywheel has a "dot" (looks like a small drilled dot) also between two bolt holes. Those are the marks to line up so that the flywheel is bolted on correctly, right?
The balancing guys said they saw an arrow on the flywheel too, not sure where that was at? I didn't give them the bellhousing, which would be the easy way to know!
This is a 1980 931. I know the n/a models have different marks.
Thanks! _________________ 1980 931S

Yep, I was right. I just checked my extra crank & flywheel. The mark on the crank is at TDC, which lines up with the dot on the flywheel.
Ever get the feeling you're having a conversation with yourself? _________________ 1980 931S

Hi nick!
Did not notice the thread yesterday, but yes, I had same suspicions when balancing my crank+flywheel. But, they have to line up. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp
