VIN 924 7 2 1 0857

This is a "barn find" story. Trailer park, under a tarp, tons of junk on top of and around the car. I saw the Martini stripes poking out from the cover...
Anyway,
This car is complete with carpet, seats, plaque, sway bars, white wheels and side stripes. Guys asking $600 for it.
I want to know if the seat upholstery and carpeting is available somewhere for restoration. Who has restored one of these?

What a find! Thats a great price too. I think the apolstry will be hard to find. I saw it for sale on some website, but someone was ripped off by the website... So I wouldnt even bother. Maybe you could reapolster them yourself, and buy matching fabric.

He,y yeah, I owe you a call, I know... real busy, off to wrench on 944 oil coolers today... swapping a header on the racecar tomorrow. Anywho, IIRC Sparky in Malta had replacement stripes for the Martini - he's a vinyl guy, makes his own replicas of the factory stuff, great work - got my "PORSCHE" lettering from him. He's on here, but often just lurks...

Yes, I posted on Pelican, too. Trying the shotgun approach to finding info. before I "leap."
Thanks, Vaughn, but I'm ok with the vinyl. I worked in the graphics industry for a couple years and still have buddies on the inside....
If the guy in Malta (you really mean the island in the Med?) reads this, please do contact me anyway.
What I'm worried about is that damn bright orange-red carpeting and seat inserts! The blue piping is faded or dirty. Can't quite tell.
I found a woman named Maureen in the Chicago Region PCA who has a great example Martini.
The info is slowly coming in.......

Please feel free to spread the word about my rescue quest!
