Try replacing the bulbs. Sometime previous owners put in the wrong bulbs.

I had exactly the same problem. Emergency flashers work fine but no indicators.
Never found the cause and had to wire a second relay into the system.
I can put a modded wiring diagram on here if you are interested

Thanx guys. All lights work now.
I haven't had an issue with the power loss in about 3 days. That was 400 miles ago.
I am sure that there is another chapter to the saga about to unfold.
talk later.

I don't know!
I drove it all week. no problems about 600 miles.
then today leaving church i started it and I heard it surging. I mean the idle rpm was fluctuating from 700 to 1200 then it shut off. I went in the church for5 a couple minutes it then started fine and ran good.
I have notice that for a while now I don't hear any escaping back pressure from the gas cap when I refuel. I think there is supposed to be consistent back pressure in the system.
I also smell,,,,enriched exhaust or something like incomplete/unburnt carbon before it leaves the exhaust. hard to describe, maybe like pre-ignition or kinda like a dieseling effect. I dont know how to describe.

Any thoughts?

John

That's the power of prayer!

First step is to thoroughly check all vacuum lines, etc for leaks...
