Hi, l am new to this list so hi to everyone.

I have recently purchased a Y reg(1983) Porsche 924 lux, automatic transmission and the first night l parked it up some swine stole my bonnet badge:-( any ideas as to where l could get a replacement? l have tried Porsche but they want £50.00!!

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Performance Products and MidAmerica Motorworks here sell the OE badge for about $25 US and a badge look-alike sticker for about $5 - maybe not a bad idea if you live somewhere that a badge's likely to be stolen again.

Buy the sticker. Think of it as a performance upgrade. Less weight.

I took mine off and filled in the hole. I think it looks better without it. Less to clean around too.

Mmmm billet/cloisone replica hood badge...



No pins (applied with silicone so if they do steal it they won't hurt your nose panel), and the badge cost a whopping $10 to replace plus shipping if something happens.

I saved about two ounces.

I happen to like the blah look on cars. I don't get paid to advertise what the car is. We all know it is a VW.
