Hey guys
I've been reading previous post about starting probs. but to no avail with my prob.
My 1980 931 seems to flood everytime i try and start it, it will turn over and over and not catch, when i remove the relay for the fuel pump it will start and run until it uses up the fuel in the line, then when i replace the relay it will start OK.
Can anyone tell me why it won't start initially, is there too much fuel getting to it.
cheers

HI
Based on my own problems...check the position of the air sensor, maybe its too high allowing too much fuel into the engine .

| Check your cold start valve also. If it continuously runs or runs while the engine isn't cranking it might flood the engine. |

| For all of the years that I suffered with the hot start problem with my 931, I thought that it was flooding. However, it turned out to be that I actually was not getting enough fuel. |
