The Hershey swap meet is planned for April 20th and I just recieved word from my sister who lives in Hershey that they are planning on bringing back the infamous Hershey Hill Climb for that weekend. This was a big event back in the 1950's and 60's and involved racing sports cars up a narrow dirt path behind the Hershey Hotel. One of my co-workers, who owned a couple of Porsche 356's back in the early 60's, said it was very exciting and usually involved cars sliding into trees, etc. The rumor my sister heard from a Porsche owner co-worker is that the race will be run with vintage sports cars. I don't think I want to sacrifice my 924 (at least not if it's running ok and we're on good terms) but I'm sure the race will be a blast to watch.

Really? Cool! Sounds like fun!
So, what do they consider "Vintage"? Is IT eligible? Usually I hear it's cars built before 73...
Otherwise I'm putting some mudders on the ITA car and towing on down! LOL

I plan on going. I live about 2 hours away so it's an easy day trip. My sister lives a couple of minutes away from Hershey and I could check with her for any recommendations of good affordable lodging if anyone is coming a long distance and needs a hotel. The swap meet is great, and last year there were hundreds of Porsches (I think around 500). It was awesome hearing the sound of bumper to bumper Porsches as they arrived. Unfortunately not many 924s. Here's a link to the sponsorers site.
