Hey guys,
First thing- Is there a way to emmulate the Eurobumpers without spending much money? I don't really like how far the front bumper sticks out. I think I've heard that you can compress the shock absorber, or remove it to push it in. Is this true? And what does it look like? Does it need anything else do to it?
Second thing- How hard is it to remove the actual headlight 'box'? The mount for the black pastic cover is broken off, and it seems the easier way is to get a scrapped headlight unit and just put it on there. Is this easy? I can live without the cover for a while, but I don't wanna be rollin' like a hillbilly.
Wait...One more thing before I forget. How would it look if I remove the rubber bumper pieces on the bumpers? Im not a fan of those either? If anyone has pics of any of these mods, they would be a great help.
If it helps, My car is a '78 924 NA
Thanks,
Ryan
ps-If you live around Richmond, IN, and have a parts car, I send me a PM..I have a list of parts to buy |

compressing the shocks can be done, I've done it, I think it looks loads better. I'll show you some pics of my car before and after...
Im at work and cant right click so you'll have to go to my cardomain page..
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/1880499/4
at the bottom of that page, you can see what they look like pushed in...
If you were to take the black bumperettes off, there would be a few holes and a couple tabs sticking out i believe. If you search ebay for bumpers, you'll see theres a few for sale and it has pics of ther bumper without the black peices on.
AS for headlights, go to the general section and read the walk thrus on home made gt bucket lights, if you think its easy give er a shot.. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

I have a Euro bumper for sale.
If you look at my avatar you will note that it is a pushed in NA bumper with filled in holes and small Euro bumpers. I use this on the street as it is sturdy while on the track I change to the Euro bumper. Too many jerks bumping my cars.
You can remove the shocks and cut out the rear end of it. It is filled with oil so think before you cut it. No pressure.
Mark the mount and weld it to the base.
I filled in the holes and cut off the protrushion for a clean look. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"
