I just bought an '80 924 and the power seat needs wired. The blasted thing's soo high that my legs are rubbing the underside of the steering wheel everytime I get in to drive. Does anyone have a wiring diagram, or could tell me what wires it needs to be reconnected to?...should I just look for a hot wire in the fuse box...or would it be simpler just to run it straight to the battery?
Thanks. |

| Hmmm. My '80 931 doesn't have a power seat, just manual. Some early 924s had spacers under the seat tracks. Most everybody removed them to give adequate clearance for your legs under the steering wheel. Take a check. |

Thanks for the advice. I checked last night, and there are no spacers...just electric risers. There are two sets of "up down" buttons. I'm assuming one lifts the rear of the seat and one set lifts the front.

| Just a follow up....Got it fixed last night. Took the seat out..the hot wire going to the seat had come out of the jumper going to the electric risers. A quick butt connector and splice then viola! I've also been told(from the guy I bought it from), that the leather, electric seats came out of a 944...... |
