Hi everybody!
I'm going to look at a 1979 Euro 924 Turbo and I was wondering what I should look for. I own a '80 NA, but I've never even driven a turbo'd car before! When will/should the boost come on? Are the european versions much different? What are the common running issues I should look out for on a test drive? The motor and turbo were rebuilt by the guy who imported it in '92. It has only had 4500km(3000ish miles) put on it in 9 years. The odometer says 56K km(35K mi) and written on the door pillar it says: '92 53,000 km, should I trust this? I'm aware of the EPA/DOT stuff required and will make sure the paper work is there. It has been registered in my state before but not for the last 3 years. It has been ran once in awhile to keep things loose but it's still sitting for a couple months at a time. Should I look further or run fast away?
It looks exactly like the old picture in the registry of Vince Ponz's car before he painted it. The picture with the silver/black paint.
Thanks
Chris

Forgot:
The owners are asking $3500 for it. It has been up for sale for about a year. I haven't seen it run yet, I will Tuesday.
