|
|
Always open to new possibilites I may be able to drum up a 944S2 engine, which, like my 924 I would like to supercharge.
Wanting the best of both worlds I wondered if anyone has ever produced an adaptor or kit that might allow the engine crossmember or mounts for a 944 to fit to a 924 steel crossmember?
Thus I could use the 944S2 engine and keep my chassis able to take the 924 engine also.
Cheers

Porsche redesigned the way that the engine is located and mounted on the 924S and 944 when teh change was made from the 2.0L 924 engine.
The two ways to mount a 944 engine in a 924 is either to cut the chassis moutning points from a salvage 944 or 924S, or modify a spare 924 crossmember to support the 944 engine mounts.
The radiator support is also relocated farther forward in a 924S/944 and you will have to deal with that issue as well. |
