Hey guys/gals!
I'm in the GVRD (Greater Vancouver Regional District, for you outsiders)
I've still got a spare 931 engine sitting at Lizard's place, and after some deliberation, I've decided that when I can afford it, I'm going to rebuild the spare engine and install it.
The problem is, I don't know where to look for a decent shop that will rebuild my engine, and one that doesn't cost an arm & leg like Weissach does. I'm also tinkering with the idea of having a shop install the engine as well, as I want someone else to be responsible for the cost if the whole thing blows up.
Has anyone had a 931 engine rebuilt in the GVRD? Was it a good or bad experience?
BTW, I'd like it of you guys/gals would also give me names of shops to stay away from...
Thanks, all! _________________ '80 931 FOR SALE

| anyplace is gonna charge you 1-2K to drop the engine in the whole and hook up the wires/hoses etc . . you'd be better off having a machine shop assembly the engine for you .(they'll get it right , they do it all day long) and you and lizard can install it in a day and save some big money .if you run into problems like fine tuning the fuel mix ,timming , etc . that would be small money to have done later . |
