Gang, take a look at this link below. With our 924's running around the same track and with the same run group, assuming that the standard best laps are around 1:35 for the 924's we would have placed 12th/24 starters:

On a good day, downhill..., downwind..., on sticky tires..., during the proper phase of the moon, with the trickest setup I can come up with, if I get in a really good lap..., I'd have to hustle my tush to turn a 1:36 and change at Summit. I pretty consistently run in the 1:37's for the race, sometimes a little slower depending on traffic or where the competition is.
Maybe things have changed in the last year or so but if you get to the point where you're turning 1:35's or 1:34's in a J or IT 924, I humbly honor and bestow upon you the esteemed title of Great Grande Master of Slicker-N-Snot 924's at Summit Point. I don't think I could come close to taking a second off my personal best time and get into the 1:35's, much less the 1:34's, and most people would consider my car pretty well sorted. But, if you're running at those times, as always, I will happily wave you by. After all, that's what the big 4-panel wink mirror in my 924 is for )
Or I could just be slow of course |

Well in order to get to 1:34 I too am going to need a miricle. I think track time will definately help. If I get a clean lap this coming weekend, I might get close to that. We'll see, I'm still breaking in the new car so we don't know if something else is going to break next.

Hey Vince! I went out Sunday to the Jefferson and instructed for Metro. Was hoping you would be there; but of course you stayed home. Next time. _________________ John
