Alright, the slight leak at the top of the tank is driving me nuts! Anyone know where to find one outside the dealer? I haven't seen them at any of the usual online vendors. Any tips where to look?

Have yee considered plastic welding? - http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=41592
I see one of those things in my future. My exp-tank hasn't started leaking yet, but it's been looking like it's about to blow its' top for several years now.
I've also thought about fabricating a new one from aluminum, but plastic welding would be way quicker.
Performance seems to have the OE plastic tank for $56. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

Well guys you are too late, I recently gave one to Munk Puppy. However, that one was available because I switched over to a 944 tank. The 944 tank is a much better design, and will give you some extra room under the hood to get to things. They are always available on Ebay. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |

So give us the real low-down on how to install the 44 tank I have a drawer
full of 924 tanks that leak right around the indent thing where the 2 side almost touch each other. I fixed them with this black 2 part stuff made
for this type of tank. I picked the stuff up at autozone I believe. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

Well Joe, the 944 tank just bolts in. You just remove two of the fender mounting bolts, and the tank fits right in place. Replace the mounting bolts, and hook up the hoses, and you are in business. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |

for people who have done this, is it possible for the 944/924S overflow tank to leak onto the bosch ignition unit on the inner fender? _________________ '82 931
