Gang, I just got back from a seven day work week on the new car. It's coming along nicely. We basically rebuilt most of the car from the ground up. The only area where we didn't check (yet) or touch was the torque tube and transmission. We rebuilt all four corners with brand new everything, rebuilt the motor and installed it, welded in a new cage, took out most of the sound deadening in the front wheel wells, and interior. When we got the car it was gutted, had a trans and torque tube in it and could roll off the trailer. Now were about 80% done and ready to paint it. We took all the lessons we learned and applied it to this car. We kept it simple.

We never thought we'd be this far along so soon. It's going to be a lot of fun this season and the trash talking between my father and I have already started. I can't wait for the start of the season. Now we are going to focus on the two car hauler and finish a lot of little things, like an alignment on the car, touch up paint on the interior, etc.

Yep going to keep the same color scheme as on #53 just flip-flop the colors and flip-flop the number.

I really can't wait to get out there with you all real soon!

I should expect you running #35 and Roy running #53 together at Pocono or Summit Point in May, should not I ?

Well we haven't really focused on the schedule yet. I know there is a April SCCA race at Summit Point. We'd like to get the second car finished by June but it could be done a lot sooner than that. The big thing is going to be finishing the two car horse hauler. That's going to take more time than putting together the race car.

Since we don't have a second trailer readily available to us until we get the two car hauler together only one of us will be driving.

One of us will be out with you at Summit or, God forbid, Pocono early in April or May. We might not have the two car hauler done by then so we'll have to go with our other tow and trailer combo. That means you better bring your favorite grill items so we can cook out with the motor home.

I hope you guys got the pictures I sent you.
