In the IT rule book, If It Doesn't Say You Can, You Can't. No deletions allowed unless spelled out.

That would mean that all of the 944's running locally in ITS are illegal then.

A little research on improvedtouring.com indicates that you CAN NOT remove the headlight motors and mechanisms:

So, I'd confirm with the local steward/rule folks and then prepare to put the lightbar, etc back in red.

Not surprising; in areas with lower car counts (FL being another), rules enforcement is often lax.

Like Chuck said, IIDSYCYC.

You should probably read the GCR and specifically the ITCS...

Headlight washer would not be required, as it was an option, as long as you remove it in its entirety. The windshield washer, however, must be present (though not functional).

That's why we tell everyone to read the rulebook/GCR BEFORE you start building the car, not AFTER...

Probably not, at least about the SCCA rules... since 944Cup is NASA and uses VERY different rules...
