that looks great! way above what i want to do! How much of a hp gain/ lag do u expect?? im going to use a front mount-modified series 5 (US = 2nd gen??) i/c. Im not sure what to expect from it. its small, but deep and is high flow from what i understand.

is there anything special you have to do when installing an i/c? boost, etc??

Again very cool but....

Has anybody thought about cooling capabilities??

here are the core sizes of the following intercoolers:

Stock 86 GN intercooler is 12.5 X 9.5 X3= 356.25

Stock 86 951 intercooler is 17.25 X 5 X 6= 517.5

stock Audi 5000 intercooler is 13 X 6 X 3.5= 273

stock Mitsubisi starion intercooler 18 x 8 x 2.5 = 360

Generally the greater the core mass area the better the IC will cool!

The turbo 944 IC has way more mass!

It cost more but I'm holding out for one on ebay.

Any other feedback??

You can see the pipe going right past the fuel dist. It is the black pipe on the lower left hand corner.

Hey.. He's using a 924 throttle body instead of a 931's. I wonder why...

By the way, I'm new here... Hello all!

Great Job Alex
I like the look of the intercooler core. It looks a bit taller then mine, I have thought of putting a larger one on the front. The present unit is very clear of the rad airflow though.
Nice work
Cheers

Hehe... Thanks for the info... I wonder if the throttle characteristics will then be like the 924? Step a lot to go a little? Haha... At least that's how it is with my 924!
