you could do a draw through setup... we do that with a few cars here fella i know has a couple of Torana's that do 11's with this setup. twin 2" SU's
another mate of mine has a 240's volvo with a draw though SU 14.1 was our last run should be 13's this meet.
all 3 cars also run water/meth through the compressor as well
twin su torana you'll be more interested in the pics than the phone video at the end... it did an 11.2 that run.

I did some checking into that last year and seemed like you could do that with some extra parts and work. They make boost referenced fuel regulators that probably would help (summit I think was about $121) - It seemed like you could use bike carbs (with modifications) as it seems there are several turbo motorcycles, SU's (2 @ 1.75"-2") again with some modification, 2bbl Holly could even work they make these boost referenced. Modifications to the way the carb understands atmospheric air pressure(?) or encase the entire carb as the mg metro did (I think). Blow thru was preferred to the draw thru although it seemed like some older examples did pretty well with a draw thru. John Butera's supercharged example was/is pretty cool too.
There is - of course - mega squirt which is a reliable and well supported efi set-up.
I have not hooked any of this up - but I looked into possibilities just in case it becomes a necessary change.
hope this helps

Short answer?
Yes.
Long Answer?
Yes, but similar effort and monies could be put towards using EFI to control the fuel, ignition and boost rather than building a complex series of valves and regulators under your hood, not seen since WWII era submarines.
Otherwise the main issues are the same between the two systems:
You have to get the exhaust routed into the turbocharger to spin the impeller.
Once you do, you have to control how fast the turbocharger can spin.
Then you have to get the resulting compressed air into the engine.
then most importantly, you need fuel in the proper amounts at the proper time along with spark events at the proper times.
Doesn't sound that hard until you start looking at the details involved and realize that you can spend a lot of time and money designing and building something like this to have it blow up after a simple mistake. _________________ Stefan
