Hi Dave,
I do, but they are on a PC in the UK, whilst i'm in SA!!
Price wise, i seem to recall the PACE pump being about £500. Then you need the oil inlet adaptor, the standalone oil filter housing, drive belts and oil tank. Then the cost of modifying the sump. Then a spare bottom cam belt pulley, and finally, a load of JIC -12 and -10 hose and fittings. Don't even think about using push on type.
You will end up spending about £1k to £1.3k doing this. The upper price is if you are going to re condition the engine, such as rings and seals.
Give PACE a call. I dealt with a guy called Neil, but i know he is no longer there. Another point, the pump locates on the stock alternator lug on the block, so you need to relocate the OE alt if this is a turbo motor.

The oil in assembly is £38.00
These prices are subject to carriage and vat

Dan,
Good post. The one thing i would add is that you don't need the bottom pulley they mention. It's far simpler to use an additional 924 bottom timing pulley as this can be drilled through and mounted onto the cam pully. Then you just need a much longer centre bolt.
Also, as you are in the US, they shouldn't be charging you VAT, as this is a tax applicable to the EU. of course, you will have your import duties to pay. With the Pound/Dollar rate as it is, now is a good ime to buy!!
Also, add on the costof the oil tank, hoses ect. Also, they don't mention the standalone filter housing on the quote
Finally, if you do use the cam pulley, you MUST let PACE know, as the tooth profile is slightly different, and they neeed to machine the pump pulley to suit. They also supply the proper drive belts

Do you still have pics Steve?
Also, I checked out paces site and theres nothing there for porsches. obviously they do do them though. Would they have a solution for 944's as well? a SFR kit is US$4g + shipping! _________________ '86 944 |
