well if ya break a rear hatch, that's when you go to a junkyard or to http://www.partsheaven.com to get a used one for cheap. Parts heaven estimated a PAIR of clean,seats in great condition for $550.00. I don't know what Porsche charges for new, but I know it isn't anywhere NEAR what Parts heaven gave me. Also, there are pics on the Parts heaven website of their stockpile of old, used hatches that they will sell to anyone.

Having read all this I now think I am not paying that much for insuring my 924 after all. Last year it was £280 but they put on a 20% increase this year for third party, fire and theft (American cousins please multiply by 1.5 to convert to $). What gets me is the complete lack of explanation or excuse for these outrageous rate increases. My income has not increased 20%. In fact I should be paying less given that I spent another accident free year, no? I can only summise that the fat cats in charge of the insurance companies must have their 20% salary increase.
