Oh and also worth mension is that it has front and rear sway bars as standard. Most 1977 cars did not have these.

Ok it is. I just checked the photo of your center console. It has the Martini plack on it. That is what your car is.... congrats on the free rare 924!

Yup, that's sure it! I noticed the carpet too, but wasn't sure. The VIN number I believe places it squarely in the run of Martini Edition cars - I believe (scrutinizing the Register database) that they were produced sequentially. You fall right in the midst of the run.
Congrats!

I think you can also see a clear indicator that the car was white (correct color for all Martini cars) in the pics; the one that shows the passenger side seat missing shows that the rail where the seat rails mount is white in the center; the area where the seat rails bolt to was sprayed black on all cars to avoid showing the body color at the edges of the carpet. You should be able to verify the color by pulling back carpet anywhere else.
The car should be white with red/blue stripes, orange/red carpet, matching uphoulstery as I recall, and the white wheels you have already.

Looks like you have found yourself one of the 3000 martini's that were made.
good find!
I live in Australia and I had the opitunity to buy a Martini but at the time I had no idea what a martini looked like.
Now I am kicking myself, I should have bought it, even the guy who was selling it didn't know it was a martini.
The car wasn't running and was in poor condition but would have been a good restoration project! and he was willing to sell it to me for a crazzy $2000 AUD
I know i should have got it!!!!!
Think yourself lucky with your rare find!!
Restore it and maybe you might make a profit
when you come to sell it! |

As noted in the "cars/parts" section. I found a Martini edition at my local wrecking yard. I pulled the carpet out of it today for 'Warped'. The Martini door panels, glove box, dash switch bezels, and speaker grill are still there and in good shape. The dash is very cracked and warped (no pun intended). The center console is toast 'cause some dickhead destroyed it to get the stereo out. The front seats have the original upholstery in bad shape, but the fabric rally stripe on the headrests is in excellent shape for restoration purposes.
The VIN is 9247209826. The rest of the car is complete and could be bought for a few hundred dollars. If anyone is interested in the Martini parts, let me know. -Troy Destfino |

I'll take everything
How much for the whole thing! I can't take the entire car, but I'll take the parts that you can dig up.
Troy - see my email to you. I'd like whatever you can get, including the side panels, and center counsil.
Thanks everyone! This board is great! |
