Oh its okay, I've done ITB with my dad many years ago in a 77 Datsun 200SX. Actually CSCC is a much better organization to run with as they aren't as lawyered up as SCCA is. Lots of fun, but too bloody expensive on my income. I'll stick to autocrossing and track days instead and focus on the local Kart rental leagues (which I'm always looking for other local Porsche folks to come and race with!) to keep my skills sharp. Someday when the SO gets a job in her field perhaps we can swing some road racing.

That's cool... as it is, I was checking out the Oregon Region webpage, they've got some good participation number data up there... and doesn't look like you'd have much, if any competition in ITB anyway!

Y'know Sean, to do a DE, you must first show up out at the track. . .

Yeah well if I weren't 6 months into a new job I might have had a day off available.

Hmm, interesting. The rules don't say anything about that, I find that concerning. Hmm, my 924 is already mostly fiberglass (944 rear fenders, 924 Carrera GT front end, stripped interior, etc) Just need to replace the windows.

Too bad NASA isn't here in the Pacific NW.

Sorry the fiberglass body pertains to 924S's/944's running in SuperCup- sorry, my mistake.

I had thought that was also allowed for 2.0L 924's running in 944Cup - but I haven't read the rules in a few years, maybe they've changed...

Update! We now have a sponsor confirmed to pay cash awards:
www.VFC-Engineering.com

Between this & Toyo bucks if we get 5 cars out, I could be paying YOU to race

Road America was a blast: Look here for video, including bump-drafting some Miatas: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3355915601691180479&hl=en

Off to Mid-Ohio, to practice for NASA Nationals!
