Sure sucks you can't run the back hatch... that can't be helping aero. Any change you can run a small lip spoiler at the rear of the roof??? That would probably help cut down on drag, give a nice separation to the airflow.

Nice to have some vid there!

Sounds like it's popping quite a bit, and seemed slow to get going... with the popping, I'd wonder if maybe it was running lean... and with the slow wind-up, can't help but wonder if your control pressure regulator is OK? Have you put gauges on it and checked it??? If not, I'd do that soon...

Well the control pressure regulator may not be working. I know some of the other wiring like the coil and fuel pump had to be rewired in order to function. This may be the same case with the regulator. The video sound may be throwing you off because the car has great power and pick up. All of the 4 cylinders are "popping" coming into the corner, coming from 5800 + rpm and jumping onto the brakes to set up for the turn. Also..I have an open exhaust as well.

Having said that I will check out the regulator... does it get power continuously of just until the engine warms up? The car goes throuh fuel like crazy so it's not very lean

I can run a lexan hatch, which I do have plans for. In the meantime I may put a small lip on the roof. I know these cars sure do get alot of rear drag with no hatch.

Wow, that is good!

FWIW, I get about 7mpg on the track.

You need the CIS pressure tester gauge set to check the control pressure regulator, not a voltmeter - you need to verify what pressure it's working to.

Or install a manually adjustable regulator and pressure gauge. A decent option for a racecar. Ideal is to have it cockpit-adjustable, to dial in your mixture on the fly. For that, you'll need proper braided stainless fuel lines (for safety) as they would have to run into the cockpit.

Have you checked plugs???

Lexan hatch? You know how much the lexan costs?? Mine was IIRC $500 from LP Aero, the guys in (IIRC) PA who make them (and supply to GT Racing, which sells them at about $650 per). Shipping's not cheap either, or easy, or I'd offer to sell you mine.
