I dont think you can buy less than a quart of paint . and a quart is enough to do the whole car, you have to add the reducer (thinner )at the right ratio ,you'll end up with a gallon of paint (enough for the whole car ( paint is pigment = color ) reducer is (vehichle =carrying agent ) some one correct me if I'm wrong .

You'll need a lot more than a quart. if you want to do a decent paint job you'll put on at least 2-3 coats of paint which translates into about 3 quarts to 1 gallon of paint, approximantly. I just got done doing 3 coats of primer onto the back end and roof of my 924 and it took me about a quart and a half, the hood and valence took another half quart. I estimate the doors and front fenders to take anoter half quart to a quart. If you are doing a custom color go ahead and get a little more so you don't have to worry about matching issues, but if you are just using a basic color that doesn't need to be mixed get what you need and go back for more if you need it.

About 1 1/2 -2 quarts of paint will do for the 924. Basecoat paints mix 2:1 or 1:1 depending on the brand of paint. So... this will give you anywhere from 3-4 quarts of reduced basecoat which is enough to paint all jambs, and exterior panels with plenty left over. Remember though, you'll still need clearcoat.
