Also, as was raised, you are using stainless braided brake hoses, right? I would never hit the track without them.

1) Yep. I want to address the this with cooling ducts. Then pads as required. Thought you might have some insight, opinion, or experience with compounds to share. I think for proper development we should try cooling ducts with the currently installed pads (Carbotech - they have lots of material left). But, it's not my car anymore so I can only suggest.

2) Absolutely. Vaughan how can you after all these years

PS - this is a classic example of how a car must continue to develop as the driver develops; a setup that works at 1:39 turns to crap as you go to a low 1:38! I've been working through the same issues on my car; used to be fine, but now that I'm pushing into the 1:19's at Waterford, inadequacies come to light.

Exactly. First noticed at a DE day a month ago when the driver moved down to 138 territory (but with passenger and full gas tank).

Then, last weekend, a second driver had the same observation at 136.5 level (without the extra 260 lbs).

Taken together I think it valid data from which to work. The temperatures etc were roughly similar both times. Same pads installed. And I'm having to change the rear shoes with some regularity. Last Sunday the shoes were not only thin but cooked and crumbled away. The heat damage to the shoes is new but I think clearly a result of the increased pace.

Might be interesting to try a set of OEM Porsche shoes just for grins (if such even exists!).

Well, I've been VERY happy with the KFP's, but that's running the 5-lug setup of course.
