Andrew,

When I bumped the horsepower up in my old non turbo beast in the late 80's the 924 clutch used to slip (even with anew clutch assembly) so I had Giltraps install a clutch assembly out of the 5 cylinder Audi Coupe - from memory it was a straight fit and didn't require any machining.

It had slightly higher clamping force so it stopped the slipping.

Thanks John, I'll look into that.

Andrew, John, did either of you make any progress on identifying the specific Audi 5-cyl parts? Not that it matters to me personally, as I'm not doing anything with an NA, just to satisfy my curiosity...

Hi Andrew,

I got my clutch for my 924 race car upgraded in Auckland, there was a clutch place near the overbridge close to the mcdolnalds HQ, i cant remember the name of the street you may know the place. The fingers were upgraded to a 1 ton clutch, never had any issues with slipping, i then just used a standard clutch plate. (that was about 8 years ago)

I also have a fidanze ALU flywheel that i am no longer going to use if you are thinking about changing your flywheel,

Hi Rob, thanks I know the place you're talking about. My original post was in 2005, so it was sorted long ago and I have no use for the flywheel now as I have the rotary in it now. I do know someone that could be interested in it though so I'll send you an email.

Dan, I think it was an Audi 200 pressure plate I used in the end.
