I was lucky enough to buy the car with the kit already on.

Carrera GT, yes. I was very fortunate to find such a nice car. Good Luck.

Have you tried www.gt-racing.com yet?
Another place you could try is in T.O. I don't know if they are online. Email them and see what they say. I don't know them too well so I can't lead for you, sorry.
Here is part of an email I got a few {5-6} months ago. They seem to be good guys and a few of them have 924/944's so they should be able to help.
"There are kits out there where you could
modify the front end to look more like the turbo's.
Ask the Rennlist, they can help. My shop is here in Toronto Canada,
Heimrath Performance Cars, (416)752-7280. They may be able to help you
out. They do have an aftermarket kit that they sell for around $1500 CDN
for 944's. Mario may have additional sources for other kits.

Their e-mail address is heimrathperformancecars@hotmail.com

Hope this helps,

Jaak Lepson"

how much lighter is carbon fiber than fiberglass? 10 pounds of fiberglass is equal to 6 pounds of carbon fiber???

Yes, GT Racing has parts for you and so does IFC in the US. In Europe Porscheshop.co.uk for a complete GT kit and for some radical stuff in Germany go to PEFA.

Porscheshop was the only place I could find stock looking rockers for my GT conversion and I looked all over.

The red GT car shown on this thread has the stock rockers and therefore the coke bottle shape. I am not knocking the car but merely pointing out the difference.

Neil, what's with the vents on the front of your car? Why do they stick out?

"coke bottle shape" You mean if I were to look directly down at the car. The fenders are wide but nothing in the middle is wide. How much would the appropriate rockers cost?

You guys have to remember, when I first saw my car is the first time I even examined a Porsche. I was never really into them. So now a GT pops up and I'm suppose to know all there is? I like the way it looks even if the true Porschers think the little bits are off. Thanks for all your help with the questions I have about my car but I'm not sure how far I'm going with it yet. 5 bolt all disc's are still up in the air. I will however finish the interior and keep up with all the maintence. I have cash I could pour into it but I'm just not motivated. You guys probably don't know this but my car is still in storage. I haven't driven it at all this year. Letting it sit might be a bad idea but I can't seem to go into Porsche tuneup/safety check/worry about breaking it/ being stranded/ making it a daily driver to run up the kms mode.

What the so you dont drive the car 'Ouch 'thats a bummer. I have 3 extra motors and other parts so Im not really worried..though it is time to redo the shifter linkage. You really want to do the brake upgrade though since its not being driven why bother to get motivated .

If you asked about the fiberglass rockers yes, I am ordering them from www.Porsheshop.co.uk for about $80 US plus shipping. Ian said that they are the original Porsche rockers for the GT.

I am missing this part therefore I will order it. If you want to fabricate them yourself email me for my thoughts.

No, they should not be sticking out at all. Looks to me like the vents are merely screwed to the front of an N/A front piece. The vents should be inset into actual holes. Does your front piece even have holes behind those vents? Just curious...
